I've discovered that I'm incapable of leaving the house without at least one knitting project in tow -- even if my destination doesn't lend itself at ALL to knitting.
I think it's official. I've got it. BAD. I'm addicted. :-)
I sort of knew in the deep recesses of my brain that I was an addict, but it wasn't until this evening when I left for an evening out to see Ira Glass at The Stadium Theatre (great theatre, by the way) with my friend that I was forced to confront the odd reality of my addicition. I simply could not leave without at least my trusty Koigu socks. I felt all panicky at the thought of it. It got so bad, I even contemplated taking Cool Cagoule and, even worse, I started considering taking the knitting bag which houses all five of my projects!
Thankfully I was able to avoid looking ridiculous by excercising some self-control and limiting myself to just the Koigu socks.
It turns out Ira Glass was so engaging and funny that knitting didn't enter my mind at all for a good two hours. So, not much progress was made on my poor Koigu socks except for casting on and knitting through the cuff on the second sock before leaving for the show.
Hopefully I'll finish these within the next day or two so I can wear them while weather still permits.
More to come on my other projects...but, in the meantime, I'll leave you with this:
