Yes, it's true. There is another project on the needles. I started this one a few weeks ago with some old stash yarn. I figured it would be a good Spring top to wear with jeans. I wasn't sure about how this pattern would work out on my frame -- especially since I plan to lengthen it by increasing the sash length, but I figured it was ok to plunge in with inexpensive stash cotton.
So far, I'm liking the double seed stitch. Now, if only I could finish this before Summer!
The pattern is Kyoto from Knitty's archives. The yarn is Reynolds "Saucy" in #379 (red) and #736 (taupe).
It's 100% Mercerized Cotton, but nowhere near as nice as the Tahki Cotton I'm using for Cool Cagoule. But it'll do for a quick fix.
Check out my VERY cool stitch markers from Amyville.
I love these! They make me smile every time and I always look for excuses to use them.
And, just for the record, I'm not usually one of those people who starts a bunch of projects and doesn't finish them. I think I'm just having a Spring mania thing -- or something. But, I did finish my socks and cast on for a new pair and I've finished the back, the pocket flap and cast on for the front of Cool Cagoule. I'll be posting pictures later today or tomorrow. I just need to photograph it all.
So you see, I have a lot on the needles but things are getting done. :-)
