Right after finishing all of those Mother's Day knitted gifts, I had an immense craving to work on my Boogie Vest. I think I needed a quick fix with big needles. I wanted to actually finish something I might be able to wear during all of this annoying New England weather -- a sort of reward for having to endure another weekend of wind, rain and cold (did I mention WIND?). It's all about me again. No more gifts for at least a few months.
I only needed about three hanks to complete the vest. However, I did have to break into a fourth because I was alternating balls every two rows [insert nasty joke here]. But, it's ok because I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this color! I used 112 and pretty much bought all the hanks that arrived at my LYS.
I'm greedy that way.
I think I have enough to make a great scarf using a very cool stitch pattern I want to try and a set of mittens, a hat and possibly a bag. Seriously.
Did I mention I love this stuff?
Anyway, here are more cable deatils:
And, of course, you can't finish (ok, technically, I still need to seam, but in my mind, it's an FO) a project without immediately casting on for another one. So, I decided to knit up another pair of Koigu socks.
Can this blue BE any brighter? (It's much more electric than it appears in this photo, trust me).
When it comes to Koigu, I don't discriminate, I just buy whatever I find.
Next on my queue is finishing up Cool Cagoule. The socks are simply an on-going thing. I hope to always have a sock project on the needles and in my purse. :-)

Oh, my, what a beautiful sweater! That Koigu porn--need I say more?
Love the vest! Isn't Manos the best. One of my desert island yarns definitely! Yes, of course you must cast on for something else. blue is my favorite color... so love it love it! Those are going to be great socks!
Manos and Koigu in one post! I am wiping drool off of my computer now. You know, when reading this post and your eye is not exactly on the top photo, it looks, in your peripheral vision, as though the vest is being worn by a big green extra-terrestrial blob. The vest looks absolutely stunning. The blob is scary. Hee hee.
Or just a green Michelin Tire guy. Maybe that is better.
Your sweater looks great, can't wait to see the finished product! And I especially love the blue yarn - AMAZING!
